Come and join us for our FIFTH annual Choir Festival! We have a day jammed packed with workshops that will leave you feeling refreshed, inspired and uplifted! Join us from 12 noon for an afternoon of workshops with our special guest tutors followed by an amazing evening show featuring all the choirs represented on the day. The BIG finale is when we unite 500 voices as one and sing the songs we've learnt during the day to blow the roof off Chelmsford Civic Theatre.

This day is open to EVERYONE! All The BIG Sing Choirs will be represented as well as choirs from outside The BIG Sing.

Introducing the special guest workshop tutors:

MARK BESWICK: Introducing Mark Beswick the songwriting partner to our leader Howard Francis. Together Mark & Howard have written songs that are performed in churches and in choirs across the globe. The success of their album 'Power Praise' made them both household names in the gospel music industry.

He has a career ranging a vocal arranger and producer for 'Take That' to fronting a praise and worship band, but that's the path chosen by London-based gospel artist and gifted communicator MARK BESWICK. Growing up Mark was the lead vocalist for many gospel choirs & became a session vocalist working in the music industry as a vocal arranger and producer for the likes of 'The Spice Girls', 'Take That', 'Michelle Gayle', 'Damage' and 'Jamelia'. Mark has been working with Schools for many years passing on his expert skills to educate and train students in music.

PETER FRANCIS: We welcome back to BIG FEST - Peter Francis - the brother of our leader Howard Francis! Professional singer, former choir director for London Community Gospel Choir and skilled vocal arranger, we can't wait to have Peter's adept skills at The BIG FEST! Peter is an expert choir director and leads choirs all over the UK and Europe, including his own choir 'The Jabez Family'. Peter's teaching experience continues to grow and as he leads seminars in the USA, runs workshops throughout the UK, across Europe, and every month he travels over to Denmark and Poland to run choirs in the community. Peter is proficient in getting the most out of a choir, finding their sound and developing their skills - we can't wait for Peter to direct us at The BIG FEST!

DAY SCHEDULE:

10:30AM - KIDS WORKSHOP - all kids aged 5 to 11 years are invited to join us to learn a new song and then perform it at the big opening at 12 noon to a packed theatre of 500 singers!

12 NOON - Festival opens
