Tara Minton Benefit Concert

Tara Minton is an Australian jazz harpist and vocalist based in London. She holds a masters of jazz performance from The Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London and is proudly endorsed by Camac Harps, France. Tara has performed her original music all over the UK and Europe, as well working with Björk, Tom Walker and Eurovision's SuRie, and recording albums with "Kitty, Daisy and Lewis" and Miranda Mulholland.

After having performed at Hampstead Jazz Club in 2019, she has become one of the resident artists at the club. HJC is a big supporter of original music and emerging young talent and are pleased to support artists to help record and release their work. Funding for independent artists is always a challenge, so HJC is pleased to present a special “Benefit Concert for Tara” in aid of her upcoming new original album, "Please Do Not Ignore The Mermaid" which is an impressionistic dive deep into mermaid myth and legend with seven tracks exploring themes of identity, self realisation and environmentalism.

A jazz album with depth and a sense of expansiveness, the harp acts as a powerful undertow within the ensemble, capturing the listener and sweeping them away into previously unexplored waters of sound. With your support, Tara will be able to finish recording the album and then launch it at the Jazz Club in future.

The full ticket proceeds of this benefit concert will go towards this goal and additionally the audience will have an opportunity to make additional contributions towards the project and those that do will receive updates on the album and an opportunity to listen to the album first before the general public.

Please note, The Club is not licensed to allow access to Children under the age of 16 after 9pm, so for evening performances, please do not book tickets for children under the age of 16. Children aged 16 and above are welcome at any time.

Seats are not numbered and you will be seated at available tables. Please note tables seat 4 people, so for bookings of less than 4 people, you will be seated and share a table for 4.
