Join MumHood Founder Pip Black and panelists Kirsti Nicole Hadley, Michelle Kennedy, Bryony Gordon, Carrie Anne Roberts and Portia Freeman for a special event in aid of Mental Health Awareness Week. We will cover topics including managing stress and changes in your mental health as a parent, keeping well, maintaining a support network and the role of exercise on your wellbeing. The panel will be a lively Q&A chaired by Bryony Gordon for around 45 minutes before opening questions to the floor.

50% of ticket cost goes towards Heads Together Mental Health Awareness charity.

All attendees will receive a goody bag full of amazing treats to help you de-stress.

Meet the panelists below.

Michelle Kennedy

Michelle Kennedy is the CEO and co-founder of Peanut. She started Peanut after struggling to meet other mamas she could relate to while also working. After finding herself trawling blogs for baby advice at 2am while her friends were still hanging out in clubs, she decided to create a product to make being a mama a little less lonely.

Michelle started her career as a lawyer at leading international law firm Mishcon de Reya. She later joined dating app, Badoo. During her tenure at Badoo, she approached Whitney Wolfe to establish a way to work with her and was integral to the the launch of Bumble.

Having worked in the dating apps industry for five years, Michelle has unprecedented experience and understanding of the safety and growth elements of building a social product. Michelle is also a mama to her 3-year-old Peanut, Finlay.

Bryony Gordon

Bryony is a British journalist, Telegraph columnist and best-selling author of Mad Girl & The Wrong Knickers. Mad Girl is Bryony’s memoir on living with OCD & depression.

Pip Black

Pip is one half of the Frame / MumHood founder duo. Over the past 9 years, Pip has opened 5 London studios whilst launching MumHood and starting a young family. Pip is well aware of the importance of keeping yourself sane whilst spinning a huge amount of plates!

Carrie Anne Roberts

Carrie Anne Roberts is the founder of Mère Soeur and mum to River. Mère Soeur is a collection of mama merch inspired by the supportive sisterhood Carrie-Anne found online after the birth of her son. Having a baby and starting a business isn't easy. Rather than pretend everything is perfect, Carrie-Anne is honest about her struggles and challenges along the way. Through this honesty she's managed to build something beautiful and continues to inspire the close-knit community she has built up online.

Kirsti Nicole Hadley

Kirsti Hadley has made a career out of spotting & developing trends and influencers, taking club nights, bloggers, vloggers and stylists from cutting edge influencer to global phenomenon - Guilty Pleasures, Smash & Grab, Rebel Bingo, Queens of Noize, Sink The Pink and Bip Ling are all started out with Kirsti International.

Because of this knowledge brands and celebrities such as Kiehls and Fred Perry, Florence and The Machine, Lily Allen, Pearl and Daisy Lowe and Sir Peter Blake have all worked with Kirsti on major projects.

Since becoming a mum she has turned her hand to shaking up the world of parenting with a column in Smallish Magazine, a 1600 capacity festival called LAND OF KIDS and her BUGGIED OUT family parties which has lead to British Vogue describing her events as "Bringing new meaning to partying with the kids"

GRLPWR GANG was born out of a simple thought as explained here by Kirsti “I felt that I personally would have felt more confident and could have elevated more quickly if I had more female role models to mentor me, I can’t change the past but together WE can change the future and that was the light-bulb moment. One of the loveliest things about GRLPWR Gang is that there are no contracts, girls join because they want to and leave if it isn’t working for them for whatever reason, that genuine feeling of goodwill, of wanting to participate and help one another is what makes it feel so special and its what makes it work so well.

At the heart of everything we do is our mantra of GIRLS HELPING GIRLS, there are 3 key points for us, girls helping girls break into the creative industries, girls helping girls generate new revenue streams by collaborating on projects together, girls helping girls by being respectful and kind to one another. GIRLS HELPING GIRLS is the key for us and there is a real sense of sisterhood between members because of it. We have seen GRLPWR Gang go from strength to strength in a relatively short time and that is very much down to us all giving each other confidence and strength, we have worked extremely hard to create something powerful and meaningful and I feel like we are succeeding at that. 2017 will see GRLPWR GANG create our first global advertising campaign for a major high street brand. SO FAR SO GOOD!
