In celebration of the opening of Newman Arms we are giving away 500 free pints (80 per day) of beer over our first week of opening.

Beers will be available on a first-come-first-serve basis to ticket holders from Billetto, from 17th April to 23rd April, one per customer, per day.

Following the recent success of his kitchens at The Three Crowns in Stoke Newington and The Adam & Eve in Homerton, Cornwall Project founder Matt Chatfield, in a new letting from Shaftsbury PLC, is set to launch a brand new offering in the heart of Fitzrovia.

Former drinking den for George Orwell and basis for the ‘proles pub’ in his iconic novel 1984, Newman Arms will become the central London home for Matt’s world renowned Cornish produce.

The Cornwall Project

Recently the subject of a major feature in The Independent The Cornwall Project has garnered a reputation for being the finest supplier of meat, fish and vegetables in the UK.

Butchery for the Cornwall project comes from the nationally regarded Philip Warren. His meat is cut exactly as nature intended, marbled with good fat and full of flavour. Renowned customers include The Ledbury, The Clove Club and Smoking Goat.

Fresh fish for Newman Arms will be caught by the day-boats of Padstow based Matt Stevens & Sons who are the preferred supplier to Rick Stein’s St Petroc’s Hotel, as well as Hix and The Wolesley.

The Cornwall Project’s vegetable, herb and edible flowers come from Sean O’Neil ‘The Modern Salad Grower’ who was featured in The Guardian for his boundary-pushing approach to vegetable growing. He is currently a supplier to The Fat Duck, Ottolenghi and Master Chef.

Chef Michael Harrison will lead a team cooking a full seasonal menu.

Opening on Thursday 16th April starting with a food offering of the 2014 award winning Hog’s Pudding Scotch Egg and Cornish Pasties. The full menu begins on Monday 1st June.

The beer range will include Cornish Tintagel Brewery, craft beer from Five Points and a host of other celebrated guest ales.
