Hygiene poverty is not being able to afford many of the everyday items most of us take for granted. It is having to make the horrible choice between eating or staying clean because you can't afford both. The Hygiene Bank works just like a Food Bank - it is a movement of people who believe being clean is not a privilege or a luxury. Their network of hygiene banks exist to support people in crisis and those struggling on low income, while at the same time working to inspire social change.
The evening will begin with an hour long Yoga class suitable for all levels - all mats and equipment provided. Roisin is an amazing Yoga teacher - she completed her 200hr Anusara yoga teacher training at Triyoga in London with Bridget Woods-Kramer and now teaches across South and West London. She is a Sweaty Betty ambassador for the Kingston branch, you may already have been lucky enough to catch one of her free classes! Roisin brings a sense of fun and collaboration to her classes - a lovely mix of dynamism, flow and meditative connection.
Little Ginger is bringing the food! After your Yoga, we will sit down together and share a 3 course Plant Powered meal with soft drink provided - feel free to BYOB, it is Friday night after all!
So why not join us for a wonderful way to start the New Year and celebrate Veganuary with a feel good evening knowing you are doing something good for your body and mind as well as being part of a local collective, bringing about big change in a small way?
