Description

Terrarium workshop

Join us to learn how to build your own corked jar terrarium.

Come and build your own self-watering garden in a large corked jar. These spacious vessels allow you to get artistic and create a miniature landscape using a variety of plants, slate and moss to build your own little world. Learn about the history of terrariums and their relevance to the Victorians, London and the tea trade as well as the science of terrariums how to care for them as well as the ideal plants to fill them with. You will be provided with everything you need to create your own terrarium, we will have a range of plants for you to choose from including Fittonia, Ivy/Fern and Moss as well as a large corked jar and a variety of slate, pebbles and gems for decoration. We will guide you through creating your own terrarium which will be all yours to take home at the end of the session.

You will leave with a care guide for your terrarium, as well as receiving a digital document which will tell you all you need to know about how to make more terrariums as we know they can be quite addictive!

We will be hosting this event at the Sebright Arms in Hackney. This venue is a short walk from Columbia road flower market so why not pop along before hand and explore one of London's most beautiful spots for plant lovers.
