BIOGRAPHY:
Giorgos Arvanitidis (Wolve Entertainment) is involved in Djing, concert and cultural events planning and photography.
He’s been involved with photography since 2012 with his participation
in the group exhibition of the photography lessons’ graduates of the
group of Mihalis Kalaitzakis. In October of 2017 he presented his first
personal work in Hania with the title "TRuE or FaLSE". After a great
response and good reviews from art experts, the exhibition is going to
travel in several galleries in the country.
As a Dj he has made
live appearances in Chania and in Crete in general in some of the most
well-known and cool bar and clubs. He has shared the decks with some of
the most important names in European Underground scene such as: Ltj
Bukem (UK), The Captain (IT), Kognitif (FR), ProleteR (FR), Jon Kennedy
(UK), mononome (GR), Kill Emil (GR), Stiko (GR), mCurtis (GR), Cheese
Royale (GR), Mosek (GR), Shy Nee (GR) and many more and he has been a
member of the band Groovetica with whom they appeared in many live
shows.
In the common question “what kind of music does he play?”,
the answer is simple. He plays music that is carefully selected,
represents him and expresses him. There are no limits! His goal is the
liberation of mind and body through the music. Through several mixing
and scratching techniques he achieves a very dynamic and groovy result.
Exactly that is what he is looking for in photography as well. There is
never a specific theme at the time of the shooting, he just captures
moments that intrigued him. But looking at the pictures after a certain
amount of time, it is obvious that there is a connection between these
photographs – experiences.
He is also active in planning
concerts and cultural events such as from Liset Alea (Nouvelle Vague),
Dionisis Savvopoulos, Alkinoos Ioannidis, Orfeas Peridis, Dimitris
Zervoudakis, Babis Stokas, Sugah Spank & the swing shoes, Haig
Yazdijan, Encardia, Boombastic and more. Also, he has been a member of
the planning group of all the cultural events that took place in Hania
Sailing Club from 2011 to 2016.
