Black @ Gold : Goldsmiths Black History

Black@Gold is the home of Black History at Goldsmiths. We curated the inaugural Festival of Black History in September 2025. History on Film is a series of free monthly film screenings run by the history team at Goldsmiths. Join us for great films from and/or about historical moments, expert panelists, and lively discussions accompanied by free popcorn. Every other month the History on Film screening is Black history themed. The MA in Black British History at Goldsmiths is the first taught MA programme in the UK to focus exclusively on the histories of peoples of African origin and descent.
