South Street is an new concert series, staging exciting artists from the versatile jazz community, in unique South London spaces.
Celebrating individual talent whilst shining a light on the strong cross collaborative nature of the young musical community; each series South Street invites one act to showcase their musical projects. Expect shows of continuous reformation and creative freedom in singular musical spaces.
South London-based producer, arranger and multi-instrumentalist Wu-Lu takes the reigns in the first South Street residency, where we invite artists to take the stage and make it their own.
Over two nights Wu-Lu curates distinct line ups of fellow musicians, to articulate in the best possible fashion, multiple sides of his creative palette. Each performance will externalise Lu’s mind’s-eye traversing the worlds of jazz, hip hop, and psychedelic soul and to crown the inaugural evening, this will be extra special launch party for Wu-Lu's N.A.I.S. EP.
The performances will be held at the Brunel Museum Gran Entrance hall, a picturesque chamber located at the descent from the Brunel Museum in Rotherhithe. A truly special venue to provide the perfect intimate setting for the darker sounds in Wu-Lu’s repertoire.
