For the first in their series of three shows, On That Side invite the visionary On The Corner Records to Bold Tendencies for a night of lysergic jazz and transportivesounds.
Live music comes from 7-piece modal-jazz ensemble Collocutor, the first artists to sign to the label in 2014, as well as support from the hotly tipped Kinkajous, a band who’s influences include the likes of Flying Lotus, Portico Quartet and Floating Points.
On The Corner label boss Pete Buckenham fills the gaps on the night on the turntables.
About On That Side
On That Side are a small collective of musicians, music enthusiasts and friends, producing, releasing and supporting new music. Their series of shows at Bold Tendencies aims to bring together some of the artists they’ve found a shared love for as well as those they’ve come into contact with personally over the past couple of years.
Please note that the entrance to Bold Tendencies has changed this year, so we’ve provided instructions to help below. The performance is taking place on Levels 7/8 of Peckham Car Park, SE15 5HQ. See http://boldtendencies.com/#visit for a map.
Access Bold Tendencies by foot:
Exit out of Peckham Rye station and continue straight ahead through the tunnel with Jenny’s Cafe on your right. Turn left and cross over Rye Lane, continuing straight towards Peckhamplex Cinema, passing Santander on your right. Take the staircase directly next to the cinema on the right to enter Bold Tendencies. There may be a queue for Bold Tendencies but you can pass this with your ticket(s) for the concert. Continue up the staircase until you come out onto the roof of the car park. From the roof, veer diagonally right until you see a ramp which takes you down to concert levels 7/8.
There will no longer be parking available on levels 0-10, however there is very limited Pay and Display on level -01. We strongly advise that you do not arrive by car where possible but if necessary, see Southwark Council’s website for more information on local parking options.
