Join us for a MumHood post-natal fitness class followed by a talk from Specialist Women’s Health Physiotherapist Clare Pacey from Beyond Health for an empowering event about life beyond your bump - understanding the importance of regaining your pelvic floor and deep core connection (abdominals included!) after childbirth.
If you would like to get back to feeling yourself again and doing the things you love the most but feel hindered by a lack of understanding or anxiety about how your body is functioning post childbirth then join MumHood & Specialist Physiotherapist Clare Pacey from Beyond Health for a special workshop about the critical role a healthy pelvic floor plays in the immediate and long-term health and happiness of new mothers and the common conditions endured by new mothers as a consequence of pregnancy and childbirth.
The session will kick off with a 60 minute MumHood Post-Natal Fitness Class. This full-body workout is the perfect way to start back on your journey to full fitness without the need for childcare. An hour of upbeat tunes, to get your sweat on whilst bonding with your bubba!
In part 2, Clare will provide education and insight into the various conditions endured by new mothers as a consequence of pregnancy and childbirth (incontinence, reduced sexual awareness & pain to name a few!) and will discuss the critical role a healthy pelvic floor plays in the immediate and long-term health and happiness of new mothers. She will reveal the astonishing prevalence of some of these conditions and explain how with the right information and help so many of these symptoms can be treated, managed and even cured. Clare will provide some exercises to empower you to take the health of your pelvic floor into your own hands and will be available after the class to discuss confidentially any specific concerns you might have.
Tickets are priced at £15 for the 2 hour session.
If you are pregnant or not yet ready to take part in the exercise part of the session then tickets for the talk can be purchased for £7.50.
There will be light refreshments during part 2. Everyone is in the same boat so plenty of opportunity to meet like minded mums and If any time during the session you need to take a break to feed, nurse or change your little one, that's OK!
