This event is designed for parents and includes a talk on Mindful Parenting by Louise Hoffman Brooks from ParentingSuccess Coaching.

Being a parent is in many ways a constant act balancing the demands of a busy work/lifestyle and family life. In a world that is geared towards 'doing' it can feel impossible to carve out time and space for just 'being'. In this Mindful Parenting talk, Louise from ParentingSuccess will shed light on the benefits of adopting a more present and grounded parenting style - and illustrate how, with a few simple shifts, you can cultivate this in your own life.

You will then learn various techniques to beat stress and anxiety with Mindfulness and Mindful Motion.

If you would like to achieve a zen-like feeling and to learn how to just be in the moment, then this is the workshop for you. It is easy for beginners to pick up and by simply focusing on the meditations, you will experience a deep sense of calm.

As the sun sets, specialist mood lighting takes over to create dreamy, otherworldly patterns on the surfaces and people around you whilst meditative music plays in the background to further enhance the relaxing feeling.

FAQs

Who is leading the session? Darren Yap will be leading the session. Darren has over 30 years of experience in Tai Chi, meditation, wellness and fitness.

Is it suitable for beginners? Absolutely; no experience is required.

I already practice tai chi or yoga, will I benefit from this session? Definitely, the focus of this session is relaxation rather than specific techniques.

Do I need a yoga mat? No, just bring a bottle of water and wear loose clothing and trainers or plimsolls.

I'm not very flexible, will I find it difficult? No, you just have to move within your own comfortable range of motion.

Is this suitable for children? The recommended minimum age is 16 as the activities will be very slow and quiet in nature.
