Greenwich Concert Band concert to raise funds for the restoration of the Memorial to the dead of Plumstead in World War 1

Nov 11 2017 19:30 - 21:30

All Saints Church, 81 Herbert Road, SE18 3QH London

At the end of the First World War a plaque was commissioned for All Saints Church Plumstead to commemorate all the war dead of the parish. It lists all the names. When that church was bombed in 1944 the plaque was put into storage. It has recently been re-discovered but needs to be professionally restored before it can once again be publicly displayed, this time in the replacement church building.

The Greenwich Concert Band have generously agreed to support our fund-raising by playing a concert for us. The Greenwich Concert Band is one of the most accomplished and versatile concert bands in London and the South East. It plays a wide variety of music from show tunes to the classics. You can find more information about the band on its website.

We welcome children to this concert and offer them free tickets but ask their adults to supervise them so they do not become a distraction to other concert-goers.
