British Journal of Photography are returning to Free Range in 2016 to host a programme of free talks and workshops for emerging photographers.

We’ve invited leading curators, publishers, writers, editors and agents to share their industry insights and offer practical advice on making a career in photography, alongside in-conversations with some of the UK’s most exciting emerging talents.

The talks will take place at British Journal of Photography’s dedicated pop-up space at the Free Range Graduate Shows from Friday 24th June – Monday 4th July 2016.

Events are free to attend, but spaces are limited so please book to avoid disappointment!

12pm G . F Smith presents: Creating the perfect portfolio with Guy Archard

Hear photographer Guy Archard present the best way to create an outstanding photography portfolio, using examples from his own career and experience to illustrate the do’s and don’ts. Guy will also discuss how to balance creative and commercial work as well as tips on how to get published. Frequently commissioned by G . F Smith, Guy will elaborate on this working relationship and how Make Book can be used as a unique portfolio tool for photographers and designers.
