Description
Does your child enjoy writing and the writing process? Or perhaps you would like some additional academic support for your child? Would you like your child to just be more open to actually writing? This club is aimed at junior school ages 7-12, or those working at these levels. While held after school, children in Home Ed and alternative provision are most welcome to attend as well.
Led by a qualified and local teacher with 20+years experience, this writing club will provide opportunities to both plan and produce pieces of writing. We will explore various genres of writing such as descriptive or persuasive etc, and the elements within each one, breaking it down into manageable chunks. We will discuss top tips to make improvements and also discuss alternative word choices to further develop your child's bank of vocabulary options.
While this is a supportive group tutoring session, if you think you would like something more bespoke and 1-1 please do get in touch to discuss how we can help your child with private tuition. Booking/payment is in advance, 60£ per child for Autumn 2 half term, with the first session held Monday 4th November, and the last session held on Monday 16th December.
Pre-booking is essential and minimum numbers are required to operate. If your child has any additional needs they are of course welcome to attend, but you will need to remain for the duration of the session. Full payment required in advance to confirm your space for the half term. Please see our Terms and Conditions, safeguarding and behaviour policies on our website/Facebook page for more information.
