OVERVIEW
This workshop will present a novel Transdiagnostic Framework for formulating and treating complex trauma developed by Dr Tim Dalgleish and colleagues at the MRC Cognition and Brain Sciences Unit in Cambridge.
Through the use of a detailed and complex trauma case example this interactive workshop will provide an excellent grounding in this phase-based approach to treating complex presentations of PTSD. Attendees will be enabled to formulate and develop interventions for their own complex trauma cases.

Topics covered will include:
- The Impact of Trauma on the Brain: Past and Present
- Understanding Complex PTSD & the Current Research Literature
- Conceptualising Case Examples Using the Transdiagnostic Framework
- Using the Formulation to Guide a Phased-Based Approach to Treatment:
- Emotion Regulation and Distress Tolerance
- Managing Flashbacks and Dissociation
- Imagery Rescripting and Compassion
- Re-assessment, Re-formulation and Reintegration
- Understanding and Managing the Impact of the Work
FACILITATOR
The workshop will be facilitated by Dr Georgina Clifford, a trauma specialist and experienced Clinical Psychologist who specialises in the assessment and treatment of Complex PTSD.
With more than a decade of clinical experience, Georgina now leads cutting-edge research on new treatments for complex trauma as a PhD candidate at the University of Cambridge.

Anyone working clinically with clients with complex trauma presentations, including Clinical and Counselling Psychologists, Psychotherapists, Psychiatrists, CBT therapists, Counsellors and Trainees.
