    Description

“Women in Conflict from a Writers Perspective” .

We are opening up a conversation facilitated by Shami Chakrabarti, followed by questions from the audience.

We already have three amazing writers in the form of Bahiyyih Nakhjanvani, an Iranian writer, Elif Safak a Turkish writer, and Saurav Dutt, a young man born in England but from Bangladeshi parents.

The idea is that the event will not be primarily about the suffering that women endure through conflict both nationally and domestically, but more about women’s role in trying to end conflict and change society.

We would like to see a deep-seated change in the way we relate to people of other religions and cultures, where similarities are celebrated and differences are not considered hurdles to friendship.

Join us on the 21st September 2016 to learn, share and try to and gain a better understanding of how we can help each other.
