Description

As autumn begins and this year’s harvest is over we are venturing into to the wilderness to bring you the best malt-based drinks have to offer. We have invited the wilderness-expert, Somerset-based brewers Wild Beer Co., and Compass Box Whisky, an innovative whiskymaker from Scotland, for a night of beer and whisky exploration. This ‘Whisky 101’ event will feature a menu showcasing natural, foraged ingredients, bringing the wilderness into North-West London.

Throughout the evening, The Gallery’s Bar Manager and resident beer and whisky enthusiast, Daniel Pavey, alongside Andy Gibson, Cicerone at Wild Beer Co. and Herman Van Broekhuizen, Brand Ambassador from Compass Box Whisky will divulge expert knowledge and fascinating anecdotes about the history, production and style of blended whisky and Wild Beer Co.'s exciting array of wilderness-inspired beers. Guests will then be invited to put their noses and palates to the test and encouraged to record their own tasting notes on specially created flavour profile cards.

Tickets will include an arrival glass of Ninkasi (a beer with apple juice, wild yeasts, NZ hops and champagne fermentation), four flights of whisky, four samples of beer and foraged food pairings. The Gallery has also devised a selection of cocktails especially for the night based on the whiskies highlighted, which will be available to purchase at the end of the session.
