    Description

In honour of St Patrick’s Day, The Gallery will be holding a ‘Whisky 101’ event with a distinctly Irish cadence in celebration of some of Ireland’s finest contemporary whiskies.

The evening will be hosted by The Gallery’s Bar Manager and resident whisky and beer enthusiast Daniel Pavey, alongside Dominic Tait who will be representing two Irish whisky brands: The Dubliner and The Liberties. The duo will lead guests on a tasting exploration of new and exciting Dublin-based whisky blends, illuminating different drams that best encapsulate the character of the city. Guests will be introduced to the sweet honeycomb notes of The Dubliner range and the rich, spicy flavour of the The Liberties. These whiskies will then be complemented by samples of beers from Northern Irish brewer McGrath’s and rounded off with canapé courses paired with each of the whiskies.

Throughout the evening, Daniel and Dom will be offering knowledge on the history, production and style of Irish whiskey, and how the unique flavours differ from their Scottish and American brothers. Guests will be invited to put their noses and palates to the test and encouraged to record their tasting notes on specially created flavour profile cards.
