    Description

What If…? A Worry Workshop for Overthinkers
Delivered by Well Minds Psychological Therapy Service. Fresh Air, Strong Steps, Well Minds

If worry has a habit of creeping in before you’ve even finished your cuppa, you’re not alone, and you’re very welcome here.

This one-off 90-minute live online workshop offers a helpful space to slow things down, understand why your mind gets caught in worry spirals, and learn kind, practical ways to respond differently. It’s about building understanding and giving you tools to feel calmer, steadier, and more at ease with your thoughts and feelings.

Led by qualified and accredited CBT therapists Sally Willan and Leanne Alston from Well Minds Psychological Therapy Service, you’ll be guided through why worry patterns develop, what keeps them looping, and most importantly how to break the cycle. Expect practical, evidence-based CBT tools you can start using straight away, delivered with clarity, warmth, and a healthy dose of realism.

    This session covers:

    • Spotting unhelpful worry habits and understanding their impact
    • Interrupting and managing those endless “what if…?” spirals
    • Using structured CBT techniques to bring anxiety down a notch
    • Building clearer, calmer, more grounded thinking
    • Developing a healthier relationship with uncertainty

It’s a supportive, professional space for anyone who wants to learn how to quiet the mental noise, think more clearly, and feel more in control. No jargon, no judgement, just solid strategies that actually help.

Here's some feedback from one of our previous groups:

"It was like a well brewed cup of tea, warm, refreshing and energising with the right amount of strength... it was fun, encouraging and sneakily wise.'

Join us and learn how to stop worry in its tracks, one practical step at a time.

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------

We know starting something new can feel nerve-wracking, that’s completely normal. Here's some of the questions we've been asked about the group:

Q: Do I have to speak or share personal things?
A: Absolutely not. This is an information-giving workshop only. You can listen, take notes, and reflect on the techniques quietly, no one will ask you to share.

Q: Do I have to have my camera on?
A: No. You can join with your camera off and still participate fully.

Q: What platform is it on? Do I need to download anything?
A: The workshop is on Microsoft Teams. You don’t need to download anything, just click the link to join from your browser.

    Q: What if I’m late?
A: You can join if you’re running late. The session won’t be recorded, so you won’t be able to catch up on anything you miss.

Q: Who is this workshop for?
A: Anyone who finds themselves stuck in overthinking loops, struggles with “what if…” thinking, or feels mentally drained by worry. If you’re noticing lots of “what if” thoughts that lead to worst-case scenarios, this is likely the right workshop for you.

Q: What will I get out of it?
A: You’ll learn simple, practical ways to calm your mind, manage spiralling thoughts, and feel more in control. The tools will be delivered in a user-friendly way, but you’ll need to put them into practice afterward to see the real benefit.

Q: What if I feel anxious or emotional about attending?
A: Feeling a bit nervous about starting something new is completely normal! Facing uncomfortable things is actually a positive step towards good wellbeing and you can participate at your own pace.

Q: Will I get a refund if I change my mind?
A: No refunds are available, but we’ll make sure the session is supportive, clear, and packed with practical tools to help you.

Q: How much does it cost and how do I book?
A: £25 if you book before 24th December or £30 after. Visit the link in the bio to book.

If you have any more questions, drop us an email at info@wellmindspts.co.uk and we'll be happy to help.
