Calling all those who left the 5th year of Welshpool High School in 1988, or should have done - and any teachers too!
Bank Holiday Sunday (26 August 2018 at 7.30pm) in Welshpool is an opportunity to meet up with some familiar faces...eat, drink, dance, be merry and mark the fact that we have made it this far!
If 1988 was the year you sat your GCSEs, then 2018 is 30 years after you got your tie written on and stopped having to spend your lunch breaks walking around the whole school!
Tickets are £10 (includes buffet, the bar will be open and there will be 80s tune too!) - What's not to love?
A word from the organisers...“It does not seem that long ago we were queuing outside Gungrog Stores at lunchtime, using our calculators upside down to spell rude words and taping the chart off the radio on a Sunday night! Incredibly, it is now three decades ago and we hope that as many people from the Class of '88 will be able to make it to The Oak to catch up with their former class mates, so do spread the word!”
Comments from the 2012 reunion:
"hellava night out",
"laughed a lot, great to catch up",
"amazing how bad my memory is, needed old friends to remind me what I'd forgotten",
"I was a bit apprehensive beforehand but so glad I decided to come",
"apparently we are supposed to be grown ups now",
"tonight we gonna party like it's 1988!"
