Savile Row tailoring taught by Savile Row trained tailors & cutters.
'Waistcoat Making with Ruth' is a part-time evening course designed to teach bespoke tailoring to those who want to learn, but have full-time day jobs.
A bespoke waistcoat is a beautiful thing. Making a waistcoat is a very good place for beginners to hone fine hand sewing as you will practice many of the techniques used when making a bespoke coat.
In our studio, you will be guided through making a bespoke waistcoat yourself, whilst a live demo is also practiced by your teacher for comparison. By explaining and demonstrating what is being taught we believe this gives each student a well-rounded lesson in all of the fine hand sewing skills you will be practicing in this class.
Ruth trained and practiced with bespoke tailoring house Anderson & Sheppard. Fast forward, she is now a fully qualified bespoke coat maker and works for herself, alongside running successful sustainable fashion events all over London.
The duration of this course is 10 sessions, run weekly, over 11 weeks with a one-week break in the middle.
The full course fee is £700 (GBP) including all materials.
Your ticket covers a non-refundable 20% deposit which confirms your place in class.
Once you have secured your place you will get an invoice for the full amount of the remaining balance.
