Description
Vox Voices is a course of relaxed and playful vocal workshops, with body percussion, movement and uplifting world, folk and jazz melodies learnt by ear.
Why come to Vox Voices?
Restorative and uplifting, come and experience the joy of being part of an a cappella vocal group. Make space for this weekly musical experience in your busy lives. We move, we sing, we add body percussion and learn to move seamlessly from part to part - it's sound for the soul.
Vox Voices is for all singers and would-be singers, regardless of experience. Everything is learnt by ear, the repertoire includes original arrangements of folk melodies, songs picked up on travels, rediscovered jazz arrangements and a bit of collective improv too!
and...
It is led by Tara Franks (Cellist/singer and Creative Director of SoundsCreative Projects).
Each season one workshop is led by a guest SoundsCreative Connected Artist.
This February we are very excited to once again welcome travelling performer, singer and vocal leader Moira Smiley.
Singers say….
“Tara has a rare gift of creating a really warm collaborative and fun environment with great musical results.”
“I can't tell you how uplifting and magical a thing it is”
"... No matter how big or small the group is the way we learn never fails to produce a beautiful and extremely satisfying sound almost immediately.
“beautiful arrangements of such a thoughtful selection of songs”
