Description
Vladimir Medinsky’s novel The Wall transports the reader to the Time of Troubles, when Russia was forced to endure extremely difficult political, economic, and social crises, and to confront intervention and natural disasters. The novel, however, is not just historical. It is also an adventure novel and offers the reader an opportunity to guess which character is the traitor in a web of court intrigue.
Medinsky’s other book, The War. Myths of the USSR. 1939-1945, covers the period which remains one of the most contradictory and dark periods in history. Various versions of events and prejudiced views arise regarding the USSR and Fascist Germany, about Stalin and Hitler, and about losses on both sides, but historical truth still becomes no clearer.
In his book, Vladimir Medinsky extends the line he began in his three-volume Myths About Russia: his goal is to debunk stereotypes that have come about, using concrete facts and historical sources.
