Description

Champagne is the most sought-after sparkling wine in the world and the finest examples are those created from single vintages. Join us for an evening of exploring wine from 2008, a fantastic year for Champagne.

Creating a vintage allows Champagne producers to break out of the constraints of making a fxied house style day in, day out. Vintages allow the winemakers to show off the unique characteristics of each year’s grape harvest, creating standout and memorable Champagnes.

We’ll be joined by Champagne brand ambassador Lucy Warren to explore the house styles of Moët & Chandon and Veuve Clicquot. 2008 is one of the best vintages of the past decade for Champagne, and we will have be tasting four great wines from the year. We will also have the exciting opportunity to try two wines from world-renowned house Dom Pérignon.

Lucy fell in love with Champagne with her first sip of Veuve Clicquot at the age of 18. Since then, her love for the wine has grown and she is now the Champagne Ambassador for Moët Hennessy. Lucy splits her time between London and Champagne, hosting trips, tastings, dinners and training sessions, combining her love for both wine and education.

We’ll be trying:

Moët & Chandon Grand Vintage 2008

Moët & Chandon Grand Vintage Rosé 2008

Veuve Clicquot Vintage 2008

Veuve Clicquot Vintage Rosé 2008

Dom Pérignon 2009
