Description:
Hands-on South Indian Vegetarian & Vegan Cookery Class then an informal supper.
Southern Indian cuisine, the cradle of Vegetarianism.
Prakash, the chef who ran an 'Award Winning' restaurant in London will introduce the cuisine and assist the class with close attention to each one to help prepare a three course menu for the evening. This evening with him would give confidence to all participants to prepare the menu and more in their own kitchen.
Simple but tasty menu and a must have in the armoury of a Vegetarian, Vegan and a Flexitarian.
You will prepare the food in groups of two, (maximum of three if necessary) at each station in this state of the art professional kitchen.
The Menu for Cooking;
Starters - Masala Vadai
Main - Keerai Parippu (Dal & spinach) dish
Payathangai Varuthu (Thoran) - Green Beans, grated coconut and spices
Thakali Kulambu (Tomoato & Potato spicy gravy dish)
Chennai Papadam
Pulli Saatham (Lemon rice)
Dessert - Maampalam Payasam (Mango pulp with Tapioca pearls and roasted cashew nuts).
You will then settle down for an informal supper with your friends and BYO.
An experience not to be missed.
Limited to 14 participants in total.
