The Belafonte are an Alternative Rock band from Ayrshire. Their music draws from a familiar Alt-Rock sound with pop influenced elements providing a modern edge. After a year of writing, recording demos and gigging, The Belafonte teamed up with producer Nick Scholey to record their first single, ‘Human Hands’. The video caught the eye of XFM/Amazing Radio DJ Jim Gellatly, making an impressive introduction to The Belafonte.

Shortly after the release of their first single, the band began entered the studio with producer JP Reid of Sucioperro, Marmaduke Duke and Medals to record their debut EP, Warm Bones. The EP was released in July 2016 on CD and online, led by the single ‘Olive Branch’. The Belafonte performed a run of shows to promote the EP’s release, including a support slot with Hawthorne Heights.
