June's Trip The Light edition is a celebration.
It celebrates how the independent dance world has no borders.
We navigate, travel, network and make connections in unconventional ways and we make things happen no matter what it takes.
We are very lucky to be able to host the artists that are part of this programme.
Lea Tirabasso is based in the UK, all the others have travelled a long way to share their work for the first time in the UK . Francesca Foscarini and Ruri Mitoh are here as part of the culmination of our 2014 collaboration with MasDanza festival.
Its a fantastic PROGRAMME.
SUNG-HIM HER YOU ARE OK
The starting point of this work was interviewing immigrants who have lived outside of their country for a long time. Sung-Him asks herself: Does their story move my body, or is my body making a story? ?And how can I express their emotion inexorably without my own interpretation,.How can their story and mine meet?
Sung-Im Her is born in South Korea, she studied at PARTS and since then worked with Jan Fabre, Alias, Les ballets C de la B, Abattoir Ferme, Needcompany together with making her own work

RURI MITOH ESQUISSE
Esquisse is Winner of the MASDANZA-EU Award 2014 at The Yokohama Dance Collection EX Festival and Winner of the Jury Prize for Best Solo at the 19th Edition of MasDanza
Ruri, is travelling all the way from Japan. She says:“This piece is a sketch of myself, and it also shows the process of sketching myself . The process continues and this piece does not have an end as long as I live. I observe my body. Then, I redundantly sketch it and erase it”.
YASMEEN GODDER & FRANCESCA FOSCARINI GUT GIFT
Having won Equilibrio Award Rome 2013 for Best Performer, Francesca Foscarini invited Yasmeen Godder to create a solo on her.
The choreography plays with the undressing of a socially aware persona in order to expose instinctual animalistic and primal urges. These two pulling forces in the work trick us by playing with the way we perceive what is authentic and real.
Francesca Foscarini will be in residence at TripSpace from the 14th -19th of June working on her new piece: La Vocazione della Simmetria. Her residence will be supported by The Italian Cultural Institute

I have not received my ticket via email. What should I do?
The first thing to do is check your spam/junk filters and inboxes. Your tickets were sent as an attachment and can be thought of as spam by some email services.
