PROGRAMME

PIEDAD ALBARRACIN SEQUIER | CON-TACTO | '10

CON-TACTO is a work in progress investigating the intimacy of touch. This is a conversation of movement between two performers, who listen, respond and propose through the perception of the others touch. CON-TACTO, is a self reflective work, delving into the unspoken dialogue between two people in a relationship. From the tentative beginnings, exploring what is being proposed just through touch and how it is reciprocated. To the balanced an harmonious conversation that follows. This piece is created on two dancers who are in a relationship, honestly and openly reflecting on their own experience to create the movement dialogue. Moments of confusion and tension to reveal to find their path together.

Piedad is a London based Contemporary Dance Artist, with her roots originating from Spain. She completed a degree in Law, while Professionally Training in Murcia. Since being based in London, Piedad has performed and collaborated internationally. Now she is focusing on her solo creative practice and work.
Piedad is a Contemporary Dance Artist and through her many years of training and performance, she is now focusing on her own practice. Influenced by her time working with such artists as Jose Agudo, Estela Merlos and Saorin, Piedad has a articulate and highly energetic vocabulary. Her Spanish playful rhythms are entwined with grounded floor work and Risk taking partner work. Piedad’s non-narrative stories, from the work of poet Mario Benedetti and Cristina Albarracin, shows an insight into human connections, with strong imagery colouring the process.

ANDREA COSTANZO MARTINI | Trop | '25

Trop deals with the power balance relationship that is established in the performative act between the performer, the audience and an outside world made of symbols and images peeping into the stage through their own unique channel.
The tension between these elements informs the movement and the action on stage.
When is the performer in charge and when is he not?
When is he in power and when is he controlled?
And can he find intimacy, silence and peace despite the crushing pressure?
This piece is short journey through a forest of messages and informations where the body stands as an anchor in between , the one tangible reality that posses his own will, needs and desires.
A one man show where flesh and bones are the real talker.
