Description
We abandoned trial by ordeal in the 13th century in favour of trial by jury. But for many women giving evidence in sexual violence trials remains an ordeal. The sometimes intense and sexist objectification of women's character and lifestyle can lead many to feel exhausted and demoralised. Does this explain why only a small fraction of complaints of sexual violence ever reach court.
As part of the Festival of Debate the Women’s Equality Party will host a panel discussion featuring expert guest speakers, talking about what measures can be taken to make the criminal justice system fairer for women and girls who are the victims of sexual violence.

I have not received my ticket via email. What should I do?
The first thing to do is check your spam/junk filters and inboxes. Your tickets were sent as an attachment and can be thought of as spam by some email services. The approval of refunds is entirely at the event organiser’s discretion, and you should get in contact with the event organiser to discuss what options are available to you.
