Traditional Leather Craft Workshop

Learn the basics of traditional leather crafts. Kingsley Walters will teach you how to make a belt, a card holder or a passport cover with traditional leather craft techniques, including use of saddlery tools, sewing leather by hand, cutting patterns and maintenance of leather. A set of tools, a range of leathers and metal fittings are provided. Patterns, workshop notes and a ‘Suppliers List’ will be available for those wishing to continue to develop their range after the workshop.  

Kingsley Walters is originally trained in tailoring, from working with high quality denim he became captivated with leather and leather-craft. He makes practical and durable pieces, utilising traditional hand-crafted methods of Leather, no machinery is involved in the production. All the leather is naturally vegetable-dyed, traceable to source and purchased here in London. Kingsley now runs his own studio in East London and is selling his leather products in multiple shops in the UK. 

The workshop is open to a maximum of 10 participants (age 16+) on a first come, first served basis. Attendance at the workshop costs £35 (£25 students) with all proceeds supporting the SCHOOL SCHOOL after school club for the local state school students.
