Traditional Lampshade Making Course
Learn the craft of traditional lampshade making with Cocoon Home. Over two days, you will learn how to make a balloon lined bowed empire shade using traditional hand stitching techniques. Students are taught how to fit the fabric on the straight grain, allowing you to use any pattern you choose. Comprehensive notes and full instructions on how to tackle other types of frames are also covered so you can confidently tackle many other shapes.
If you’re hands are itching for needle and thread and space at home to create is limited, this lampshade making course is the ideal string to add to your bow. This class is limited to four students, so everyone will get plenty of attention.
Cost includes all materials, tea, coffee and lunch.
Please note that tickets are non refundable. Tickets are only transferable if we are able to sell the space. Cocoon Home reserves the right to cancel the course at any time. In the extremely unlikely event this should happen, ticket holders will receive a full refund.
