The Board of Trustees of the Hackney Society cordially invites you to the Society’s Annual General Meeting.
7pm for a tour of the Grade II* listed St Mary of Eton Church and in particular the multi award-winning new buildings (see Spaces issue 50).
St Mary of Eton is a sumptuous church by Bodley and Garner, two of the greatest late Victorian ecclesiastical architects. The building was largely funded by Eton School as part of its long standing mission to rescue the blighted souls of the East End. It has for many years been a centre for high Anglican worship. The Church and the adjacent buildings (part of the Eton Mission’s original settlement) have been restored and extended by Matthew Lloyd Architects, who will be leading the tour. The Church is featured in our publication Hackney - Modern, Restored, Forgotten, Ignored.
The tour will be followed by the formal Annual General Meeting, at 8pm.

Members and non-members are welcome, but only paid-up members may vote on matters at the AGM.
