After the sold-out magic of our first TB Live gathering, we've partnered with Unit 31 for Round 2 with a twist. On Saturday 10 August, we'll be bringing you two events in one — the live session followed by our now-regular monthly dance — for a full evening of sharing space. More grooves for your pennies. 

If you were a part of our debut edition, you'll agree that this isn't one to be missed and you'll also know how we like to do things — creating mindful, community-based opportunities with good peoples and incredible musicians.

Stepping up, stepping in we have the spine-tingling magic of AMYRA and the crunchy rare groove and soulful dancefloor niceness of Melbourne's Mandarin Dreams plus a secret guest. Lori (Crown Ruler/Hiatus Kaiyote) and Silentjay (Mandarin Dreams) join Errol and Alex Rita behind the decks later on.

AMYRA
One of our most recent, bone-chillingly amazing discoveries of the past six months is AMYRA — a musician, playwright, author and activist from Harlem, New York. Her work fuses music and poetry focusing on social inequalities and communal healing whilst celebrating love, blackness, and womanhood. The kind of voice that oozes the emotion of Nina Simone.

MANDARIN DREAMS
Although we'd heard the music before, we first met the guys from Mandarin Dreams while out in Australia last year. MANDARIN DREAMS is an art based resistance movement formed in Ascot Vale, Melbourne who see art as a setting for discovery and sharing of concerns; a call to action as well as a act of civil disobedience. They happen to be a big part of the continued swell of interest around Melbourne alongside the likes of Hiatus Kaiyote, our own Clever Austin (who's a a member) and 30/70, so we're so excited to host them.
