Join us at Kingston Museum for Tolworth Manor - owners and tenants through the ages talk on June 13 at 6:30pm (talk starts promptly at 7pm) with Bob Phillips.

There was a time, in the Middle Ages, when Tolworth Manor was a place of some influence, on the road joining Hampton Court and Nonsuch Palaces. But, on the whole, it was never a place of huge significance. However, it has been around for a very long time, and many really interesting currents of British history, from the Conquest onwards, have touched it. This talk will be an exploration of the long chain of owners and tenants who have governed Tolworth (or Talworth) Manor.

This talk is programmed by the Friends of Kingston Museum and History Centre.

The talk itself is FREE, however please book your place in advance.

Kingston Heritage Service is part of Royal Borough of Kingston Upon Thames Council. We operate across two sites: Kingston Museum and Kingston History Centre, as well as in borough wide partnership projects.

Our mission… ‘We aim to engage visitors and residents across the borough in activities focusing on local heritage, past and present. We work with communities to identify and celebrate what is uniquely special about our borough and its people, locales, traditions and institutions. We aim to build on this history while striving to discover, record and share the new stories occurring all around us.’
