    Description

ITV and Karhoo offer families the chance to travel like an honorary member of the International Rescue squad this half term as a fleet of black cabs are transformed into iconic Thunderbirds vehicles

Fares cost £1 with all proceeds donated to The Children’s Trust

When: Half term, 22nd-23rd October, 9am-5pm

    Where: Central London

What: An exclusive fleet of Black cabs is being transformed into iconic Thunderbirds vehicles (The Thundercabs) and will be available to book via taxi app – Karhoo, at a flat rate of £1 for families during half term with all proceeds going to The Children’s Trust.

This October, families can book a half-term taxi ride with a difference as ITV rolls out a fleet of ‘ThunderCabs’ to launch season 2 of the iconic children’s animation Thunderbirds Are Go.

To coincide with the first episode premiering on ITV Saturday 22nd October at 3.30pm and on CITV Sunday 23rd October at 8.30am, a convoy of black cabs have been specially transformed into limited edition versions of Thunderbirds 1, 2, 3, 4 — as well as Lady Penelope’s favourite mode of transport, the FAB 1.

Complete with wings, rockets, personalised number plates, a special in-car mission from Scott Tracy and their very own Parker driver, budding heroes have the chance to become honorary members of International Rescue by travelling in the ThunderCabs, available for one weekend only.

The ThunderCabs are available to book on 22nd and 23rd October between 9am and 5pm via the Karhoo app, with rides costing a flat rate of £1 for any journey within central London. All proceeds will be donated to The Children’s Trust Charity, the UK’s leading charity for children with brain injury.

The fleet will be based at a number of half-term hotspots such as Madame Tussauds, The Science Museum and The London Eye, and can be ordered, subject to availability, by downloading the Karhoo app and selecting the bespoke Thunderbirds Are Go fleet.

Season 2 of Thunderbirds Are Go premieres on ITV Saturday 22nd October at 3.30pm and on CITV Sunday 23rd October at 8.30am.
