    Description

    A Storytelling Performance with Music

Why does a whale climb a mountain? Why does a statue speak?
As our climate changes so do our landscapes amidst the rising waters.
Journey to a place where sea is land and earth is water, travel the shores where stories are born.

Sharon Jacksties and Pete Mona are a well known and loved storytelling and music partnership – together they are ‘Stranger than Fiction’. Their unique blend of traditional tales and music creates crafted shows where mystery and danger meet.

Mr Rook’s Speak Easy is a storytelling venue for adults in the heart of Frome, Somerset. It aims to offer the best professional performers from around the country with a monthly programme from September to May.

This performance will be the launch event for Summerlands Storytelling Festival 2016 which aims to promote storytelling and storytellers in the legendary summer lands of Cornwall, Devon, Dorset and Somerset. See the website for more details on the festival an all the other events happening from the end of May and this Facebook page for more about Mr Rook's.
