Description

The Vernon Spring
The Vernon Spring aka Sam Beste continues his longstanding residency series at Servant Jazz Quarters. Throughout the residency Sam has been experimenting with material new and old in search of a sound that feels like home. This solo departure comes after many years of producing records with his band Hejira, soulstress Tawiah, string duo Fran & Flora and others, many of which are part of the Lima Limo collective he co-founded. Sam has also been in demand as a pianist and writer for other artists including Amy Winehouse, Matthew Herbert, and most recently Leon Vynehall and Kano. In conjunction with the residency The Vernon Spring has been releasing a series of singles, which he consolidates on Valentines Day with the release of his debut eponymous EP on Lima Limo Records.

Kevin Mark Trail

Kevin Mark Trail, is a singer-songwriter and producer with worldwide critical acclaim. From the UK, Kevin has had solo releases with EMI records, and Warner Records. As a vocalist he has contributed to recordings with Jamie Cullum, Emeli Sande, Gregory Porter to name a few, and has been a long standing member of Mike Skinner's band The Streets, carrying the melodies of some the biggest hooks from their classic record "Original Pirate Material".

Many consider Kevin to be a musical chameleon, due to his influences and ability to move between musical genres. This is a unique opportunity to see him perform his own material solo in an intimate setting - expect thoughtful lyrics combined with a focus on beautiful melody, delivered by a deeply soulful voice from a compassionate true artist.
