The Workshop is for all Therapists who wish to work in a clinical environment and feel comfortable with the change in work style when working with Life Limiting Illness’
The Workshop starts with a Theory for Up to 1 hour giving you details of the History of how the service was set up in 1994 and some Case Studies where massage has been used for the benefit of the patient.
80% of the Workshop covers Practical skills showing you techniques used such as positioning, working with gloves, embolismic stockings, distraction therapy and listening skills.
We finish the day with lots of information, added CPD Points, an addition to techniques in your Toolbox, Your Name added to a list of Practitioners that we are collecting who are suitable for these types of Clients and the joy of meeting like-minded people J
The Workshop is predominantly for Massage Therapists who wish to work in a Hospital or Hospice Setting however The Theory will benefit all Complementary Therapists as the Rules of the Care are similar. The Theory also includes setting up a Service in either a Hospice or Hospital.
