The Songs of Neil Matthew Fox Album Launch

Sep 12 2019 19:30 - 23:00

Leith Depot, 140 Leith Walk, EH6 5DT Edinburgh

Join us at Leith Depot for a night of music from some of Edinburgh's best local performers where we will be celebrating the launch of The Songs of Neil Matthew Fox.

All songs from the album will be played live with backing from all three support acts for parts of the set! The album will also be available in CD for half price on the night, and all guests will receive a free digital download via Bandcamp.

Neil Matthew Fox is a Fife based songwriter who takes inspiration from traditional folk music and the songs of John Prine, Bob Dylan and Johnny Cash.
"Neil is emerging as one of the best new talents of the year at OOTB. A magnificent wordsmith." - Out of the Bedroom Reviews

Supporting will be The Lower Depths fronted by Angus Gibson. "The Lower Depths bring to mind a young Leonard Cohen, or Lou Reed, with sort of a breathy, drunken carelessness that perfectly captures the misanthropic abandon of youth." - Houdini Mansions.

Also supporting will be Rosie Smith, whose music centres around poignant and mournful expression of love, heartbreak, and healing influenced by Joan Baez, Simon and Garfunkel, and Billy Bragg.

Finally there is Stephanos Constanidou performing as SCEViP, his solo project revolving around an electric violin and a loop pedal. Inspired by the likes of Apocalyptica, Andrew Bird and Fotis Siotas. Stephanos makes use of the most unconventional techniques to deliver mesmerising shows that are up to par with a full band's performance.

Please do come along for what promises to be an exciting night of live, original, local music.
