The Shed challenges listeners with an ever-changing list of performers that the minds behind Smitty’s have curated to entertain and enlighten. You may think that going to see a classical accordionist or Indian Sarod player is out of your comfort zone, but trust that the Smitty’s team won’t lead you astray. The Shed is always forward thinking, but most importantly, always good.
Georgia van Etten is a soul-blues songstress based in London with a unique, creative voice and a badass vocal trumpet. She has wowed audiences globally from major festivals in her homeland Australia, to Ronnie Scott's to famous European stages like Montreux Jazz (Switzerland), Porretta Soul (Italy), and Jazz à Vienne (France).
Georgia will be launching her debut EP: 'Live at the Pool Studio' which features three original tracks. Together with an incredible lineup of musicians: Quentin Collins on trumpet/flugelhorn, Al Cherry on guitar, Ross Stanley on organ, Tom Mason on bass and Jamie Murray on drums, Georgia will preview this original music to the audience for the first time. Add to that a mixture of delicious blues, jazz and soul standards and Kansas Smitty's intimate setting and you've got yourself a gig not to be missed.
