The Sessions are back and we're excited to be teaming up with luxury British denim brand Salt Spin to bring another night of top new buzz talent to the intimate Groucho surroundings for a night of great music and Cocktails.

Headlining the night is 'kisses for Breakfast' chart topper Melissa Steel. Signed to Atlantic Records the 23-year-old Bradford native is in the midst of writing and recording her debut album. After releasing her debut top 10 hit single "Kisses for breakfast" featuring Popcaan she then released "Drunk and Incapable" alongside Krishane. Shortly after, Melissa teamed up with producer duo Blonde to feature on the smash song "I loved you".

Support comes from London based songsman LUCA, Soulman Alex Francis and synth pop and Radio One's Track Of The Week Grace Ackerman.

LUCA

L U C A’s haunting voice, which has been likened to Anohni, Benjamin Clementine and Patrick Watson, is a rare mix of the soulful and the operatic. Born somewhere in the grey-sprawl of suburban London, he spent his teens studying poetry and literature; whilst living in a cellar in an indistinct seaside town he found his voice, the wailful choral outpouring which has come to be his blazon and the words which have come to be his songs. His lyrics pose honest questions, demanding the listener address the unmentioned troubles that lie just at the edge of things. He is currently recording his debut material with Bristol producer Dan Brown, due for release early 2018

ALEX FRANCIS

Alex's emotive melding of rock and soul emerged out of the London grass roots scene in 2015 and sprued a completely organic rise to prominence. Alex has supported the likes of Samm Henshaw, Luke Sital Singh and James Walsh. He won the support of Time Out Magazines 'Rising Stars' programme early last year showcasing him a The Jazz Cafe and 229 Club. He also won support from BBC Introducing, Balcony TV, The Unsigned Music Awards, London Live and Sofar Sounds.

His debut EP lands in Spring 2017 on the back of extensive writing sessions in London,Belfast and Nashville. He'll also be supporting Mel B on her UK and European Tour and may well be featuring on her upcoming single 'Hold On'.

GRACE ACKERMAN

Talented 22-year-old UK based singer songwriter was lead singer of the group "Chasing Grace" signed to Island Records UK. Grace is now going it alone and is gearing up to release a brand new single. Her debut solo single "Hold You" from her upcoming EP recently featured on BBC introduces/Radio 1 as 'track of the week'. Big Things to come from her so stay tuned. She'll also be anouncing her debut headline show very soon.
