Women Over 50 Film Festival, which celebrates older women behind and in front of the camera, brings you a feature film and short that showcase and celebrate older women.
A Brazilian drama with warmth and humour at it's heart, The Second Mother was released to both critical and widespread audience acclaim last year. Val (Regina Casé) is a hard-working live-in housekeeper in Sao Paulo. When her daughter unexpectedly comes to stay, questions of class, motherhood and culture rise to the surface.

To start the evening, there will be a screening of short film Arty Anne (Director Marcin Walczak), which follows Edinburgh-based artist, Anne Dignan, who uses her experience of being visually impaired to make multi-sensory art.
