We are thrilled to close our Spring/Summer programme with an exciting new trio. Three exceptional musicians, vocalist Sabina Desir, cellist Ivan Hussey and bassist Andy Waterworth present beautifully arranged music by Antonio Carlos Jobim, Bill Callahan and Bonobo to name a few. An evening of Blues, Folk and Country with a touch of Jazz. ‘For All of Us’ is about the positiveness, peace and understanding gained through a shared musical experience, collectively in the moment.
Sabina Desir - Vocalist
Sabina Desir is one of UKJazz’s best kept secrets (London Jazz Festival 2024)
Sabina has performed with players such as saxophonist Jason Yarde, guitarist Tony Remy, Tony Kofi, American drummer Doug Sides and pianist Kirk Lightsey, who called her the ‘Spiritual daughter of the great Ella Fitzgerald’. Over the last 5 years Sabina has produced and directed several projects with Jessica Lauren, her long standing musical partner.
Ivan Hussey - Cello
Also known under the artist name Celloman. Ivan has played with an array of artist including Mick Jagger, Jay Z, Snow patrol and many others.
His use of cello as a harmonic instrument through the use of a new style of cello playing entitled Arpezzato is at once thrilling and unique.
Andrew Waterworth - Bass
A consumate and truly creative player and film composer with credits for Bronson, Monsters and The Children. He continues to perform with The Urban Soul Orchestra,The Penguin Cafe and many others. In 2023 he released The God Particle to critical acclaim.
