A weekly series of 10 films that have influenced and developed the art of documentary and which continue to inspire us today. From Flaherty’s MAN OF ARAN(1934) - and the concept of ‘Poetic Realism’ –to Peter Watkins’ controversial PUNISHMENT PARK (1971), right up to the experimental and immersive LEVIANTHAN in 2012, we bring these seminal documentaries back to the big screen. Each with an introduction from the eminent Professor Ian Cristie, this is a vibrant celebration of the rule-breaking films that made documentary the complex and exciting form it is today.
The series will take place every Tuesday at 3.45pm 29th September – 8th December (with a break 3rd November)
Tickets are just £5 per screening, or you can buy a season ticket to the whole series for £40.
