Centuries of rivalry, years of training, two goats, one glorious race… it’s time for The Goat Race 2017!
The Oxford and Cambridge GOAT Race - Sunday 2nd April 12pm to 6pm
Now in it’s ninth glorious year, The Oxford & Cambridge Goat Race is set to take place on exactly the same date, at exactly the same time, as what some event listings have already named ‘the other race’ – the Oxford & Cambridge Boat Race. With all proceeds going to Spitalfields City Farm, sell-out crowds of around 1200 are expected to watch two goats, one named Oxford and one named Cambridge, tear around the cobbled track of Spitalfields City Farm.
Now established as London's foremost goat-related-nonsense mini-festival, expect musicians, cocktails, games and a vast array of pun-based performance and entertainment.
See who bounces to victory in the Shoat Race, test your stamina in the Oat Race or bleat your way through some Goat-e-oke. Or if the intellectual is more your thing, then get lyrical in the Goatry Slam.
IN GOAT WE TRUST
Please note the Goat Race itself will happen approx 4.30pm.
Tickets are non-refundable.
