    Description

A Special Public Talk by Sam Vaknin, the author of 'Malignant Self Love, Narcissim Revisited'

There is healthy narcissism and pathological, malignant narcissism. It is this latter, pernicious form that is spreading like a wildfire. Narcissistic Personality Disorder (NPD) is diagnosed increasingly more frequently among the young and other population groups. On the national or societal levels,
in the professions (politics, show biz, the media, among the clergy, law enforcement, etc.), and as embedded in our technologies (e.g. social media) - narcissism is here to stay.

This talk is aimed at increasing the awareness of NPD in society and the effects it has on our daily lives in various settings: family, workplace, church, government, and community. It will be of great interest to students of psychology, psychotherapists, counsellors, life coaches, law enforcement officers, social workers and allied health professionals and practitioners. It also will be of value to anyone who has survived narcissistic abuse in its multifarious forms, directly or indirectly.
