Description

Returning to Elgin, The Little Kicks are a band from Aberdeen, Scotland.

Combining soaring vocal harmonies and infectious guitar hooks with the distinctive warmth of analogue synthesizers, The Little Kicks create an exciting melody-driven sound, as engaging on record as it is live.

The band’s album, “Put Your Love In Front Of Me” met with critical acclaim in the UK and in Europe and they have continued this with the release of 2017's 'Shake Off Your Troubles', an album that showcases their high level of musicianship

~

In late 2015 Lional signed to brand new independent label IMOUT Records and released their debut single 'Season of Salt' with a tour of Scotland in support. While the single received nationwide attention with plays on BBC Radio Scotland and Amazing Radio, it also achieved worldwide airplay on syndicate radio show 'Passport Approved', most notably with frequent rotation on Los Angeles world famous KROQ. Lional were included in Vic Galloway's 25 bands to watch in 2016 and Jim Gellatly's 10 picks for 2016 in The Scottish Sun. The band also saw no less than 3 of their songs in the top 20 of The Herald Scotland's top 100 Scottish songs of 2015 with single 'Season of Salt' being the highest entry at number 11.

Their rise in popularity continued into the new year as they were invited over to Los Angeles to perform at the prestigious music industry showcase event MUSEXPO in spring, with further international dates at Sweden's Live at heart and Freeze Fest in the Netherlands. This year also saw Lional make their television debut on STV's Live at Five as well as being invited in for a live BBC Introducing session with Vic Galloway. The band played a series of high profile Scottish festivals throughout the summer, including Loopallu, Groove Festival, Tenement Trail and a triumphant set to a capacity crowd of over 1500 in the Hothouse tent at Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival.

''They came across as the fully formed article. Blistering Indie rock songs and great stage presence - they ARE destined for big things." - JIM GELLATLY

"Season of Salt is an absolutely thundering single from Inverness quartet LIONAL." - VIC GALLOWAY, BBC Radio Scotland.
