Jul 31 2014 18:30 - 20:30

Doctor Please! Events presents the second KPH Film Night - and as our first one sold out we recommend you book early to avoid disappointment! The evening is a curated film presentation accompanied by a delicious dinner inspired by the film, served in the shabby chic surroundings of the Theatre Bar upstairs at the infamous KPH pub on Notting Hill's Ladbroke Grove. The aim of the event is to show classic or lesser known works that connect with local residents and the area. So whether you are a film buff, a west Londoner or just fancy a delicious meal with like minded people, The KPH Film Club is for you! Ticket price includes dinner & movie! Fun crowd included too :)

After wowing our first audience with Ken Russell's ' A House in Bayswater' we are delighted to welcome back Vicki Russell, Costume Designer and daughter of the celebrated director,  to curate another marvelous Russell film called 'Always on Sunday'. Shot in 1965 for the BBC , it is his first dramatized biopic about the French painter Henri 'Douanier' Rousseau and features James Lloyd in the lead with commentary by Oliver Reed & Melvyn Bragg. We will screen the film first (45 minutes duration) then serve up a scrumptious French infused menu courtesy of chef Matthew Horton, followed by a Q & A with Vicki plus some surprise guests and visual treats! .

Doors 6.30; Film 7.15; Dinner 8-9pm; After dinner Q & A with Vicki Russell.  Ends @ 10pm.
