    Description

Relais & Châteaux and Bompas & Parr present The Joy of Bees, an immersive experiential art installation and honey tasting.

Relais & Châteaux (https://www.relaischateaux.com) is a collection of over 540 individual hotels and restaurants around the globe, with cuisine at their very heart and with each dedicated to the preservation of local cultures, local produce and local biodiversity. Many of the properties and hotelkeepers demonstrate this by becoming beekeepers, creating their own delicious local honeys – from Japan to New Zealand, and from the USA to the UK.

The Joy of Bees will give visitors the opportunity to participate in the world’s most extensive art installation dedicated to some of the rarest honeys in the world from Relais & Chateaux's own hives. Winding a fascinating path through three floors of 19 Greek Street, a townhouse-turned gallery space committed to sustainability, the installation will engage visitors’ imaginations and invite them to reflect on the momentous bee and the path of honey from flower to jar in a fascinating journey lasting approximately one hour.

A SMALL NUMBER OF TICKETS WILL BE SOLD ON THE DOOR AT 19 GREEK STREET ON THE DAY.

Please note that all ticket proceeds will be donated to The British Beekeepers Association (http://www.bbka.org.uk).

    Each ticket includes:

    • Art gallery visit
    • Observation of a live bee hive
    • Immersive palate cleanse
    • Guided tasting of Relais & Châteaux honeys by award-winning experts from Bermondsey Street Bees (http://www.bermondseystreetbees.co.uk)
    • Celebratory nonalcoholic honey libation designed by a Relais & Châteaux sommelier

    Restrictions:

    • 19 Greek St does not have disabled access or a lift in the building.
    • No pets or smoking are allowed.
    • Live bees will be on the premises in a safe, contained environment, but guests should be aware and take precautions if allergic. Bompas & Parr advises those that are allergic to abstain from attending the event.
